This weekend will be busy with sending out all the pre-orders with Sue Penn. Looks like this collection will not stay too long. This is digitally printed collection and the colors are just so bright and vibrant.
There will be in-house made fat quarter bundle with a panel of a beautiful peackcock!
Been busy those couple last days. Between packing orders like crazy and organizing new products, I have also cleaned up the navigation bar, as there are so many amazing designers represented on this website.
Perfect design is still in the works!
Very exciting splash of the color in this beautiful Skellington Pizzazz Quilt celebrating la Dia de Los Muertos. Buy your kit right now. Pizzazz collection will not be re-ordering due to very high demand and very little printing.
Tula Pink is an illustrator, a fabric designer, a quilter, an author, a maker and a generally good person who enjoys talking about herself.
Tula graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA. It was fun but she was tired of being broke so she decided to get a job. Tula worked briefly as an Exhibit designer for Museums in Southern California, where she grew up, and when that became too quiet she relocated to the music industry. After about 5 years of that her ears began to bleed so she left her job and California and went in search of a new home. The plan was to move as far east as she could get without renting a boat and work her way back west until she found a place she liked. Tula got about half way and then she ran out of gas money so she stayed put.
Tula now lives in a small mid-western town outside of Kansas City, MO in a house that used to be a barn and still sort of looks like one. Tula's main function in life is fabric design. She lives for it. Her signature designs have been adapted to fabrics, woven ribbons, paper products, needlepoint kits, embroidery patterns and sewing machines and can be found in independent fabric shops and retailers all over the world. Tula is most recognized in her industries for her dark sense of humor, a flair for hiding animals in the strangest of places (artistically, not literally) and her boldly unique use of color and pattern. Tula comes from the "more is more" school of design where there is never enough space and always room for that one last thing.
Today Tula Pink works closely with the good people at FreeSpirit Fabrics to develop multiple fabric collections every year, is an Ambassador for BERNINA sewing machines, develops collections for Aurifil Threads and Renaissance Ribbons and writes books for F+W Media about quilting and sewing. She works all day everyday and gets very cranky when she is asked to leave the studio or if Tula Pink is her real name.
Cori grew up gazing upon the rolling wheat fields of the Washington Palouse, in a town called Pullman. She attended WSU (also in Pullman), and received a BFA in art with a major in painting, and a minor in printmaking.
At present she finds herself (happily) living in pullman again, only this time, she is accompanied by her own family. She spends her days working away in her studio doing all kinds of cutting, pasting, and painting while listening to book after book on tape.
She also loves to listen to great music, watch a fantastic movie, read a good book, and to have a good laugh (not all at once, of course). Oh- and a nice walk now and again also is enjoyed, especially if there is a bird sighting or two.
Excited to start Aurifil Monthly Thread Club.
Introducing Aurifil's 2021 Colour Builders.
The 2021 Aurifil Color Builders were created in part to herald and highlight the very first thread weight produced by Aurifil: 40wt. They are a capsule of 12 mini-collections dedicated to an incredibly worthy cause that falls in line with our goal to increase Aurifil’s sustainability and positive environmental impact — Endangered Species. Each collection contains three large spools of our supple and strong 40wt thread — a warm, a medium, and a dark.
We’ve drawn our color inspiration from 12 magnificent animals, currently in dire need of attention, advocacy, and compassion. We are dedicated to highlighting their stories, helping to educate on their struggles, and working to create valuable change via awareness and fundraising. To help achieve these goals, we are collaborating with Earth League International and are looking forward to a strong and effective partnership.
This gorgeous Tim Holtz Abandoned 2 collection will go fast. We also offer Curious by Nature quilt kit using this line. The possibilities are endless to use this collection to create stunning quilts with a masculine touch.
From the vibrant brush strokes of a painter’s palette to shattered fragments of mosaic, Abandoned is a visual artistry of color, texture and typography. These discarded ideas are salvaged from the imagination and combined to create unique new works of art...
