TAYLOR SEVILLE - Magic Pins - Flathead Patchwork Fine are used when you need your fabric to stay completely flat and smooth during the sewing process.
Best Uses:
- Machine Piecing: Use them when joining quilt blocks together. The flat head allows your sewing machine's presser foot to glide right over or right next to the pin without lifting, tilting, or jamming.
- Intricate Pattern Matching: Use them when matching stripes, plaids, or seams. Because the head lies flush against the fabric, it prevents the layers from shifting or distorting out of alignment.
- Ironing and Pressing: Use them when you need to iron directly over pinned seams. The flat head stays out of the way of your iron's soleplate, and the heat-resistant material will not melt.
- Delicate Fabric Projects: Use them on silk, satin, lawn, and fine cottons. The ultra-thin 0.5mm shaft pierces these lightweight fabrics smoothly without leaving permanent holes.
When to Avoid Them:
Avoid using them if you have limited hand mobility or joint pain, as the flat, thin profile can be harder to pinch and pull out quickly compared to the ridged Ultra Grip version.
