This pattern is a unique piece of art, just as your own finished quilt will turn out to be! Seawell the sea turtle is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut fabrics to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own.

Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full-size pattern is included.

  • Material requirements include 2-1/2 to 3 yds total assorted scraps in a variety of colors and prints for the background;
  • 1/2 yd total of assorted scraps for the turtle;
  • 1-1/2 yds total yards of assorted scraps for turtle shell;
  • 6" square of dark fabric for the eye;
  • assorted sea creatures and other cuttable motifs for the background and turtle;
  • 10 or more yards of fusible web;
  • 1/4 yd of fabric for binding;
  •  3 yds backing.
