Jinni - FUNKY FRIENDS Toy Making WORKSHOP
We want your class experience to be fun and stress-free. Here are a few things to know before you sign up:
- We need at least 2 students for a class to run. If we don’t reach that number, we’ll reschedule and make sure you get a spot in the next session.
- Class fees are non-refundable, but life happens! If you can’t make it, we’ll gladly move you into a future class of the same type (as long as there’s room).
- If you miss class without letting us know, we won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule.
- Safety comes first. If the weather is unsafe, we’ll reschedule and keep you updated by email or phone.
Join the Jinni – Funky Friends Toy-Making Workshop at Artistic Quilts with Colors Inc. studio in Belleville.
Each month we sew the Funky Friend of the Month together. Everyone works on the same project so we can move through the steps smoothly and finish most of the toy during class. This keeps us focused on learning the right techniques instead of losing time cutting different patterns.
What we learn:
- How to read the Funky Friends pattern
- How to cut fabric accurately and fussy cut special motifs
- Stitching basics for toy making and proper seam allowance
- Hand-sewing small parts
- Attaching limbs, ears, safety eyes, and other parts
- How to add crinkle
- How to stuff the toy so it keeps its shape
For the homework you will need following:
- Appropriate for the Month Funky Factory Friend kit or supplies as needed for the pattern

- CAMELOT FABRICS - CloudFill FUSIBLE Fleece - 45" - 1 yard piece
- Sharp fabric scissors
