Jinni - Machine Binding Refresher Class
We want your class experience to be fun and stress-free. Here are a few things to know before you sign up:
- We need at least 4 students for a class to run. If we don’t reach that number, we’ll reschedule and make sure you get a spot in the next session.
- Class fees are non-refundable, but life happens! If you can’t make it, we’ll gladly move you into a future class of the same type (as long as there’s room).
- If you miss class without letting us know, we won’t be able to offer a refund or reschedule.
- Safety comes first. If the weather is unsafe, we’ll reschedule and keep you updated by email or phone.

This class is open to anyone who has completed our beginner quilting class.
I am also offering a bonus "Squaring Your Quilt" Class where I will be teaching you how to square your quilted quilt top.
For the Machine Binding Refresher class bring your quilted and squared quilt, plus a prepared binding strip, and refresh your binding skills with step-by-step guidance.
Homework: How to make a binding strip:

Cut 2 1/4" strips. To calculate the number of strips, use the Robert Kaufman quilting calculator app or estimate 2 strips per 3 sides of your quilt plus 1.

Using the mitered method taught in class, join all your strips into one long binding strip.

Fold the strip in half lengthwise and iron it flat with a sharp edge.

Trim any fabric ears from the join areas.

Wind it neatly onto a piece of cardboard or into a ball.
