A very enjoyable day doing applique

This class was a lot of fun and I learned a lot of new techniques. It was great having a pattern and fabric all assembled beforehand and taking it from there. It all came together faster than most things I make! I love how my new applique-d pincushion turned out -- and even better it's already hanging on the wall!

Jinni Beens - Laura Heine - Advanced Applique Quilt Foundations, October 4 10 am - 5 pm

This is a must-do class if you have just purchased an embroidery module (and even if you haven't)

I am so glad I took this class. I had only recently purchased a new embroidery module for my Bernina 770QE and to be honest I was feeling a bit intimidated. But now, I'm using it like a pro!
Jenny, our instructor, took us step by step through the whole process of machine embroidery from (1) explaining the different types of fabric stabilizers and embroidery threads and when to use them; (2) teaching us how to correctly hoop an embroidery project and (3) teaching us how to use all the various embroidery features on our sewing machines, in particular how to use them to get the most precise and best results you could ever hope for, eg. how to centre motifs in the hoop and how to combine different motifs to create an even more interesting final project. All of this was hands-on, as we had our own sewing machines, which helped me to feel that if I could do it here then I could definitely do it at home as well! During the class, Jenny led us methodically through an embroidery workbook and each of the participants were given the same workbook to take home, which comes in handy to help refresh my memory of what I learned that day.
Thank you Jenny, for your excellent instruction and also for your seemingly infinite patience ; -). I really appreciate AQWC for offering this class and highly recommend it to anyone who owns an embroidery module and wants to learn how to use it to its' fullest potential!

Love Soft Fuse

I have been using Soft Fuse for years. Many of the ladies in Pearland Quilters group have changed to it when they saw all my appliqué work and the ease and use of Soft Fuse. I buy rolls of it on tubes when I attend the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. I would buy at local quilt shops that carry it and craft shops that carry it. It has been difficult to get lately as they are all sold out.
The only thing I did not like about the yards of Soft Fuse I ordered from your business was how it was packaged.
My Soft Fuse was FOLDED and stuffed in an envelope! It being creased from the folding causing it to peal apart when I cut it. So areas were no longer to use. I was not happy about that at all.

Soft Fuse Premium - Paperback Fusible Web - 37in wide PER YARD

My very favorite fabric for the last several years!

I've purchased Tula Pink polka dots a few times over the last five years. Artistic Quilts with Colour has continually had them in stock. Fast and friendly service too. Not to mention, I love most of the fabrics they carry. There just isn't another place close to me that can offer the variety, and I'm pleased that I can find these products in Canada.
