Aurifil Event Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 06:00 pm – 08:00 pm
Ever wondered why Aurifil is the thread quilters swear by — and why the world's top fashion houses trust it to stitch their couture gowns and bags? Come find out straight from the source.
Join us for a special in-person evening with Gail Heller, a certified Aurifilosopher, as she takes us behind the thread — from Aurifil's fascinating history and production process to the insider knowledge that explains why this thread performs the way it does on every project you love.
Here's what the evening covers:
🧵 The story behind Aurifil — history, heritage, and what sets it apart
🏭 How Aurifil thread is made — the production process that makes the difference
👗 The couture connection — yes, the major European fashion houses use it too
🪡 Thread weights demystified — which weight to reach for when piecing, machine embroidery, hand stitching, big stitch quilting, and needlepoint
📸 Real project inspiration — beautiful photos and a fun video from a couture fashion house
Gail will also bring sample works to share in person — so you'll get to see and feel the difference for yourself.
