If you’ve been following our posts, you know that I love folding smaller fabric cuts like fat quarters and half yards and storing them in plastic tubs. But here’s another great storage solution—using a filing cabinet!
With some acid-free cardboard, you can wrap your fabric cuts (as shown below) and “file” them neatly in a drawer. I use small binder clips to secure the fabric to the cardboard, keeping everything tidy. This method not only saves space compared to traditional folding but also makes it easy to spot the fabric you need at a glance. You can even store full yards this way!
Or, if you prefer something ready-made, you can pick up a fabric organizer designed for fat quarters and yardage from our shop! It's perfect for keeping your stash neat and accessible.
Give it a try and enjoy a more organized fabric collection!
